The Neurodiversity in Tech summer program is looking for coaches for summer 2024. Coaches with
the internship program manage the day-to-day workplace lives of their team of five interns,
providing them with technical help as well as guidance on project management and workplace
communication norms.
The interns are neurodiverse young adults, mostly on the autism spectrum, who work in teams as programmers, project managers, artists, and designers to develop an educational video game. Each team starts with a game concept from a client and, over the course of 9 weeks, brings a prototype game to life.
The coach position can be set up for different time commitments, ranging from roughly half-time to
full-time. Coaches should ideally have some experience with neurodivergence, along with either
game development experience or general experience with programming. Pay rates tend to be in
the range of $20 to $25/hour depending on the individual’s skill set and level of experience. The
internship runs Monday June 24 to Friday Aug 23.
